Avonline Networks has been appointed by Virgin Media to deliver a Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) based network in the South West of England, Wales and North East England.
The work packages will form part of the latest phase of Virgin Media’s ‘Project Lightning’ expansion programme, covering up to 70,000 homes. Virgin Media is expanding its FTTP network across the UK bringing top average speeds of 516Mbps to more residential and business customers
The programme of works will require the installation of approximately 700km of fibre network from January to December 2020 and is scheduled to be followed by similar volumes through to and including 2023.

Avonline Networks was acquired by M Group Services in March 2019 and operates as a standalone services business within the Group’s telecom division that includes Morrison Telecom Services and Magdalene, offering a complete end-to-end telecom network build and services portfolio across the UK and Ireland.
