This week, across M Group Services, we are using National Apprenticeship Week as an opportunity to showcase our apprenticeship opportunities. Recently, Avonline Networks, a part of M Group Services’ Telecom Division, was delighted to host an apprenticeship day in Newcastle.
Focused on attracting new engineers to the business, the day gave an opportunity for potential apprentices to find out more about the broad range of projects Avonline undertakes, as the leading specialist provider of telecom network build and installation services in the UK.
Attendees had the opportunity to take part in several hands- on workshops, based on the daily work Avonline engineers get up to. They also took part in team building exercises, giving them a chance to demonstrate their leadership, planning and teamwork skills.
Throughout the day, several Avonline colleagues, including managers from across the business, attended to meet the potential new team members. Attendees enjoyed the workshop, commenting that they liked finding out more about the business, after seeing its vans driving in their local communities.
The day aimed to find potential colleagues wanting to take the next step in their career, through a 12-month engineering apprenticeship, delivered by DTN, who focus on providing training for the Telecom industry. At Avonline Networks, five are currently undertaking apprenticeships in a broad range of specialities, including Procurement, Warehouse Operative and Supervisor.
At M Group Services we are committed to creating opportunities which attract and develop the next generation of highly skilled, forward-thinking and technically competent people.
